In a high-stakes rematch Friday night, the Allen Eagles edged out the Arlington Martin Warriors 36-33 in overtime, overcoming a halftime deficit to claim victory and extend their playoff journey.

The Warriors started strong, with quarterback Tristian Bittle throwing for 177 yards and two touchdowns. Wide receiver Logan Baresh was his go-to target, recording 100 yards and two scores on four receptions. Special teams played a pivotal role for Martin, converting a fake punt and scoring on a recovered fumble, helping them lead 17-10 at the break.

Allen’s offense, led by quarterback Dylan Chapman, found its stride late in the game. Chapman connected with Messiah Washington, Caleb Smith, and Quinton Hammonds for key plays, but it was the ground game that sealed the deal. Running back Micah Ellis dominated with 145 rushing yards and three touchdowns, including the decisive score in overtime. Quinton Hammonds and Amir McDowell also contributed touchdowns to keep Allen in the fight.

Defensively, the Eagles clamped down in the second half. Standouts Zina Umeozulu and Nathan “Tank” Marsh disrupted Martin’s offense, forcing overtime and giving their team the chance to win.

With the thrilling victory, the Eagles advance to face Midland Legacy on Saturday, November 25, at Shotwell Stadium in Abilene. Midland Legacy enters the matchup riding momentum from their own dramatic overtime win. Fans can expect another high-energy showdown.
