The 16th-ranked Ouachita Baptist Tigers are set to host the University of Arkansas at Monticello (UAM) this Saturday, September 28, at Cliff Harris Stadium, with kickoff scheduled for 6 p.m. The game marks Ouachita’s return home after two road wins, including a hard-fought 25-20 victory over Southern Arkansas last week.
This matchup continues a long-standing rivalry, as the Tigers and Weevils meet for the 83rd time. Ouachita leads the series 48-33-1 and boasts an 11-1 record against UAM since the formation of the Great American Conference in 2011. UAM, now 2-1, is looking to rebound after a lopsided 63-3 loss to top-ranked Harding.
Adding to the evening’s excitement, halftime will feature the induction of the 2014 Ouachita football team and standout alumni Julius Pruitt and Dan Easley into the Ouachita Athletics Hall of Fame, honoring their lasting contributions to the program.
Fans can expect an electric atmosphere as the Tigers aim to maintain their perfect record and extend their dominance in this storied rivalry.
