The 14th-ranked Ouachita Baptist Tigers travel to Durant, Oklahoma, this Saturday, October 5, to face Southeastern Oklahoma State in a Great American Conference matchup at Paul Laird Field. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m.
Ouachita enters the game with a 4-0 record following a dominant 49-14 win over Arkansas-Monticello. The victory propelled the Tigers up two spots in national rankings to No. 14 in both the AFCA and D2Football.com polls, marking their continued presence in 68 of the last 69 AFCA rankings.
Southeastern Oklahoma, after starting the season 0-2, has found its footing with two consecutive wins, including a close 27-21 victory over Northwestern Oklahoma State on the road last weekend.
This will be the 60th all-time meeting between the Tigers and the Savage Storm. Ouachita leads the series 34-21-4 and has a 9-3 edge since both schools joined the Great American Conference. In their last matchup, Ouachita cruised to a 34-7 win during their 2023 homecoming game.
With both teams riding momentum, Saturday’s game promises to be a competitive test as Ouachita looks to remain unbeaten.
