The Lone Star Rangers extended their dominance with a 41-30 victory over the Reedy Lions on Thursday, fueled by a career night from quarterback Rece Hoyt. The dual-threat star racked up 206 rushing yards and two touchdowns while also passing for 301 yards and three scores.

Hoyt and Jones Shine

Hoyt’s record-breaking performance wasn’t the only highlight for Lone Star. Wide receiver Bryson Jones hauled in 148 yards and two touchdowns, marking his third consecutive game with over 130 receiving yards. The Rangers were equally unstoppable on the ground, amassing 252 rushing yards for their ninth straight game surpassing 182 yards on the ground.

Defense Steps Up

Lone Star’s defense delivered as well, tallying five sacks. Marcel Dominguez led the charge with two sacks and a season-high four tackles, while Nico Viveros anchored the unit with 13 total tackles, including one for a loss.

Looking Ahead

The win pushed Lone Star’s record to 9-1, snapping Reedy’s seven-game winning streak and dropping the Lions to 8-2. Both teams now turn their attention to the playoffs. Lone Star will face White on Thursday, bringing an explosive offense that has averaged 46.7 points per game. Reedy will take on Creekview on Friday, another offensive powerhouse averaging 38.6 points per game.
