DeSoto comes into this contest on a dominant note, having cruised to a 63-6 win over Shoemaker. The Eagles’ offense has been firing on all cylinders, with Kelden Ryan leading the charge. Ryan threw for 135 yards and three touchdowns while adding 38 rushing yards and a touchdown. Deondrae Riden Jr. also contributed with 114 rushing yards and two touchdowns. The Eagles’ defense was just as formidable, recording three sacks, with Marshall Kirven leading the way.
Wylie East enters the game after a hard-fought 35-28 victory over Forney, where Howard Fisher IV threw for 191 yards, two touchdowns, and added another touchdown on the ground. Amarean Porter also played a key role with 85 receiving yards. Wylie East’s offense has been potent, averaging 46 points per game during their win streak.
DeSoto dominated Wylie East 42-20 in their previous matchup in November 2023, but the Raiders will look to adjust and challenge the Eagles in this postseason showdown.
