Panther Creek Controls the Rematch, Handles Lake Dallas to Push Win Streak to Three

FRISCO One year after a shootout loss that stuck with them all offseason, Lake Dallas had another shot at Panther Creek. The result looked familiar. The Panthers dictated Thursday night’s rematch from start to finish, walking away with a 31 to 13 victory and all the momentum heading into the final stretch of district play.

Panthers Lean on Their Veterans

Panther Creek’s game plan flowed through its seniors, and they delivered at every turn. Quarterback Graylyn Fry spread the ball around with confidence, totaling 221 passing yards and dropping a touchdown strike when the Panthers needed a spark. Behind him, Donovan Webb powered through arm tackles on his way to 101 rushing yards and a score, constantly flipping field position and setting the tone for a physical night.

Falcons Flash but Fall Short

Lake Dallas never quit, and DJ Hicks gave the Falcons life with several big grabs that added up to 94 receiving yards and a touchdown. His effort kept the scoreboard from getting out of hand, but the Falcons could never string together enough sustained offense to truly threaten Panther Creek’s control of the game.

The loss drops Lake Dallas to 4 and 3, while Panther Creek climbs to 7 and 1, picking up its third consecutive win in convincing fashion.

Next Challenge Awaits

Both teams turn the page toward a key matchup with Aubrey. Lake Dallas returns home to meet the Chaparrals on October 24 at 7:30 p.m. Panther Creek gets the same opponent a week later on October 31, also kicking at 7:30 p.m.

For now, the Panthers remain one of the hottest teams in the area, and their climb up the district standings shows no signs of slowing down.
