Highland Park Flips the Switch, Blows Past Reedy to Keep Playoff Run Alive

FRISCO The Scots needed one quarter to find their footing, and after that brief lull, they unleashed a storm Reedy could not withstand. What began as a sluggish, scoreless start turned into a Highland Park showcase, as the Scots ripped off 45 straight points and rolled to a commanding 45 to 10 postseason win inside the Ford Center at The Star.

Cullum Sparks the Surge

Everything changed once Highland Park decided to stretch the field. Wide receiver Harrison Cullum became the catalyst, striking for touchdowns of 55 and 40 yards and shredding the Lions’ secondary on his way to a season high 117 yards. His explosive plays cracked the game open and gave the Scots the jolt they desperately needed after a quiet opening quarter.

Quarterback Buck Randall followed Cullum’s lead, shaking off the early rust and attacking downfield with precision. Randall finished with 311 yards and three touchdowns, guiding an offense that looked borderline unstoppable once it found rhythm.

The ground game took over after halftime. Matthew White delivered the moment that broke Reedy’s spirit, bursting free for a 46 yard scoring run on the first snap of the third quarter. From there, he added another touchdown as Highland Park embarked on a 31 to 0 run that erased any remaining doubt.

Reedy’s Momentum Fades Fast

The Lions offered a brief push late in the second quarter, capitalizing on a Grayson Jennings interception that set up an 18 yard touchdown reception for Ben Francis. But missing quarterback Lincoln Harn for a second straight week proved costly. Without their offensive leader, Reedy managed only 121 yards for the game and produced just 29 yards after halftime as Highland Park’s defense smothered every attempt at a comeback.

Ronan Moreland put the final stamp on the defensive effort with a fourth quarter interception, helping lock the Lions at ten points for the night.

Scots Keep Rolling

Highland Park now rides an eleven game win streak into the Region II semifinal, waiting to see whether Frisco Wakeland or Cedar Park will stand in their way next. Reedy’s season comes to a close at 8 and 4, once again halted by a Scots team that continues to tighten its grip as the postseason heats up.
